Just a bit of the new photos I added from The Gate of Sacaron shoot. Go to the website, www.joshdonahue.com, to see all of them.
I’ll be heading back to Atlanta in April for a project short. The Gate of Sacaron is a thesis piece that is inspired from the Norse culture. The story follows one man, Alannius (me), into a difficult situation attempting to get help for his people in the neighboring town…his life depends on it.
Stay tuned! It’s being shot in two weeks. Picture updates to follow!
Starting over. I spent three years in Atlanta being a full time actor and in that three year time I was able to make a good portion of money from general performing gigs. I’ve started over in NYC and because of that, I am back to the drawing boards in finding performing gig work.
Fortunately, I have already had success in that respect! I’ve been working with two different entertainment companies and while neither one offers me anything that is artistically satisfying, they do afford me with opportunities to get in front of people and just…well…entertain. This always turns out to be a lot more fun for me than I originally anticipate because I have a good time acting like a goof ball and everyone else has a good time watching me do it. Fun! Sometimes that’s all that matters.
Still continuing to audition and always looking for opportunities to be a part of a great storytelling experience.
Yes…I know…he’s supposed to be black, but at my small private school we didn’t have a black man who could perform the role. So Richie Walters became a tall white man from the Deep South (think: Elvis before the fame). It was a great opportunity to perform a role I would otherwise have never been considered for. Got to relish those moments!

Something Outrageous! I am currently performing in this show at the Off-Off-Broadway 45th Street Theatre. Come, stop by and check this show out for yourself. It is packed with hilarious scene after hilarious scene and proves to be a wild party.
